Hokies head to Raleigh for Wolfpack Open
Twenty wrestlers expected to compete

BLACKSBURG - Twenty members of the Virginia Tech wrestling squad are expected to compete in the Wolfpack open, hosted by NC State, Sunday in Raleigh. The action will begin at 10 a.m. and run all day inside the Raleigh Downtown Convention Center, located at 500 South Salisbury Street.

Updates and brackets from the tournament will be here and complete results will be posted on gopack.com and hokiesports.com Sunday night.

Below are the probable competitors submitted by the Tech coaching staff. This list could change by Sunday based on injury or other factors.

In other news, in the InterMat individual rankings, several Tech wrestlers made moves in their individual weight class. Carter is up to No. 5 at 133 pounds, Brian Stephens as 14th at 149 pounds, Jesse Dong is up to sixth at 157 pounds, Pete Yates checks in at No. 14 and David Marone is 20th at heavyweight.

After this weekend, the 14th-ranked Hokies will head to Ohio for a dual meet at No. 13 Ohio State on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 4 p.m.
