2011-12: Placed fourth at the ACC Championships … Finished the season with a 13-14 mark, 2-6 in duals … Went 2-1 in ACC duals … Picked up three major decisions and two pins … Placed second at the Wolfpack Open with a 3-1 record … Took the title at the Harris Open, hosted by Ashland University, going 4-0 … Competed at the Midlands, going 1-2 … Rallied in the third period to pick up a big 13-12 win in the NC State dual meet, helping propel to the team to a comeback win.
2010-11: A pleasant surprise for the Hokies at 149 pounds … Went 23-10 overall and 1-1 in dual matches … Recorded four major decisions, one technical fall and four pins … Won the Appalachian State Open and placed fourth at the Nittany Lion Open.
2009-10: Redshirted for the Hokies, but competed in several tournaments unattached … Took third at the King College Open … Went 9-6 as an unattached wrestler … Also participated in the Hokie Open, The NC State Wolfpack Open and the Davidson Open.
Liberty: Went 6-4 as a freshman, wrestling at 133 pounds … Finished third at the Spartan Invitational … Was 2-1 in dual meets and picked up one pin on the season.
High School: Was a four-year standout at Northside High School … Won 85 percent of his matches as a Viking, posting a 137-24 record in three different weight classes … A three-time district champion, including his freshman season where he posted a 27-11 record at 103 pounds … Won three tournaments as a sophomore and finished fifth at the state championship, capping off a 35-8 season … Matched his win total as a junior (35-3) while claiming first place at six events and second place at the state tournament as a junior at 112 pounds … Wrestled up one more weight class as a senior, capping off a stellar high school career with a 40-2 record at 119 pounds … Was named District Wrestler of the Year as a senior and finished in third place at the state championship.
