2013-14: Went 18-1 on the season … A 2014 NCAA All-American and NCAA finalist … Captured his third ACC title with a win at 141 pounds … Selected to wrestle Iowa's Tony Ramos at the NWCA All-Star Classic, but fell 5-3 in sudden victory … Pinned No. 11 Luke Vaith of Hofstra and No. 8 Tyler Small of Kent State … Beat No. 9 Chris Mecate of ODU 9-3 in a dual match … Advanced to the semifinals of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational before having to forfeit out with a significant hamstring pull … Still placed sixth, even with the forfeits … MRI revealed a tear of the hamstring, which required surgery … Missed three months of action, but returned for the ACC Championship … Picked up a technical fall in the semifinal and a win over No. 17 Edgar Bright in the finals … Was named Most Outstanding Wrestler … Nine of his 18 wins came by pin, with two by a technical fall and two by major decision … Picked up a 12-3 major decision over UNC's Evan Henderson to become the first finalist in program history … Took runner-up honors after falling to Ohio State's Logan Stieber in the finals … Named to the All-ACC Academic Wrestling Team, earning Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades … The 2014 VaSID State Wrestler of the Year, as well as a first-team selection … A member of the NWCA All-Academic squad … Voted to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Team and was a second-team selection to the All-America squad … A member of the 2013-14 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2012-13: Was redshirted … Wrestling unattached, went 4-0 at the Hokie Open to win the 141-pound title … Went 4-1 to place third at 60kg at the prestigious NYAC Holiday Invitational in New York … Went 5-0 at the Nittany Lion Open to capture a crown … Placed fourth at The Midlands while wrestling unattached … Won the 60kg freestyle at the Dave Schultz Memorial International, beating Bajrang Bajrang (India), 1-1, 0-2, 3-0 in the finals … Named Outstanding Wrestler in freestyle for the event … Took bronze in the men’s freestyle at the Cerro Pelado International in Cuba … A member of the 2012-13 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2011-12: An All-American at 133 pounds who finished fifth at the NCAA Championships … The 2012 ACC champion at 133 pounds, his second such title … The Conference's Wrestler of the Year … 2012 All-ACC … Finished the season with a 36-5 record, 11-3 in duals … Went 5-0 in ACC action … Twenty-eight of his 36 wins netted bonus points (10 major decisions, seven technical falls, 11 pins) … Won the 133-pound bracket at the Hokie Open … Went 5-0 the opening weekend with four pins and a technical fall, earning ACC Wrestler of the Week honors … Posted a 4-0 mark at the Wolfpack Open, taking the 133-pound title … Went 5-0 at the Nittany Lion Open to win the title … Beat three top-10 competitors, including Iowa's Tony Ramos in the finals, to take home a Midlands title … Earned ACC Wrestler of the Week honors once again for the performance … The first Hokie wrestler to grab the top spot in the InterMat poll since Scott Justus (184) was ranked first in 2002 … Lost the top spot after losing a pair of dual matches at the NWCA National Duals … Won both of his matches to claim his second ACC title … Beat fifth-seeded Joe Colon of Northern Iowa 13-10 to earn his first All-America honor … Pinned Illinois' B.J. 2010-11: Advanced to the Round of 12 at his first NCAA Championships after entering with a No. 9 national seed … The ACC's Co-Rookie of the Year … Finished the season with an 35-7 overall record … Went 5-0 in ACC dual meets … Won the ACC title in his first attempt … Picked up bonus points in 26 of 35 wins, 61.9 percent of the time … Won the Hokie Open and placed fifth at the Las Vegas Invitational … Named the ACC Wrestler of the Week after his first weekend of competition … Had 12 major decisions, three technical falls and a team-high 11 pins … Picked up a team-high 98 team points in dual matches this season, winning a school-record 21 dual matches (21-3) … Named to the 2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll … Named to the All-ACC Academic Wrestling Team.

High School: A three-time Virginia state champion who amassed a career record of 199-15 … Ranked the No. 4 wrestler in the country at 130 pounds and the No. 23 overall wrestler in the country by InterMat … Was named as the Southeastern Region winner of the Dave Schultz High School award for excellence … Posted a 45-2 record as a senior, winning the Beast of the East Tournament and placing second at the Walsh Ironman … Was the both the 2009 and 2010 Timesland Wrestler of the Year by The Roanoke Times … Went 52-1 as a junior to earn the spot as the top-ranked 112-pounder in the country by Amateur Wrestling News … Only a loss in the 103-pound final as a freshman denied him of being a four-time state champ … Placed second at the Junior Nationals in 2009 … A two-time Super 32 Challenge champion who also won the 2008 Walsh Ironman … Was the Freestyle and Greco-Roman Cadet Wrestler of the year in 2008 and the Freestyle and Greco-Roman Junior Wrestler of the year in 2009 … Was also a member of the Cadet & Junior National Teams in his freshman and sophomore years … Community service involved volunteering with the Montgomery County Food Drive and assisting with the Coaching Recreation League in Wrestling … Graduated with a 4.0 G.P.A. and was a member of the National Honors Society, graduating in the top 10 of his class.
