The Hokies conducted a brief practice Thursday evening, making final preparations for Saturday’s Spring Game. The squad was joined by a special guest from New York, as a huge Hokies fan named Carter got a chance to meet some of his favorite Tech players and coaches following practice.

Student Practice a big hit again
Despite overcast skies and a few sprinkles, Virginia Tech students showed their support of the Hokies in style by joining Coach Justin Fuente and the squad for practice Tuesday evening. Plenty of selfies were taken with the team. Coach Fuente even took time to get his photo with a couple of Hokie hounds! Check out the cool video from HokieVision:

Support of the Hokie Club reaches record levels
Thanks to the generous support of Virginia Tech alumni and fans, the Hokie Club has hit multiple all-time records in terms of total giving, unrestricted annual (scholarship) giving and total number of donors.
Overall giving to the Hokie Club approached $33 million based on the most recent benefit giving cycle that concluded March 31. The Hokie Club had never exceeded $30 million in total giving until this year.
Of that record $33 million total, approximately $16.2 million was designated to the Hokie Scholarship Fund to be utilized specifically for scholarships for deserving student-athletes – a dramatic 65 percent increase in giving from last’s year’s $9.8 million total.
Details:
Reserve your seat for Clemson, five other home games
Just a friendly reminder for fans who haven’t reserved season tickets yet – there’s still time. A season ticket is one’s only way to guarantee a seat at Lane Stadium when Clemson visits Blacksburg on Sept. 30. No single-game sales of Clemson tickets are anticipated, so lock in spots for all six Saturday games at Lane today.
2017 season tickets:
Thanks to Virginia Tech students for buying the entire allotment of student tickets for the season’s opening game against West Virginia on Sept. 3 at FedExField. Hokie Club members and season ticket holders members can still scoop up their tickets for the opener.
