Ken Ekanem named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week

Senior defensive end was part of stellar defensive performance against East Carolina

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that senior defensive end Ken Ekanem is the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week. Ekanem registered five tackles, two sacks and a quarterback hurry in the Hokies’ 54-17 win against East Carolina. He also teamed with Tremaine Edmunds for a sack in the end zone that resulted in a safety.

The Centreville, Virginia native leads the Hokies and is tied for third in the ACC with 4.5 sacks this season.
