Tech to put individual football game tickets on sale
Tickets are available for purchase by Hokie Club members and season ticket holders starting Friday and to the general public on Tuesday

BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Thursday that it will make a limited number of individual football game tickets for the Hokies’ home games against Liberty, Boston College, East Carolina and Georgia Tech available for purchase.

The department first will make these tickets available to Hokie Club members and football season ticket holders starting Friday at 10 a.m. These groups get the first opportunity because of their financial support of student-athletes’ scholarships, the Hokies’ football program and the department in general.

On Tuesday, the department will put individual game tickets for the Liberty, BC, East Carolina and Georgia Tech games on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. All seat locations will be allocated after Hokie Club donors and season ticket holders have made their purchases.

Tickets for the Boston College and Georgia Tech games cost $70 per ticket. Tech’s game against East Carolina costs $55 per ticket, while the home opener Saturday against Liberty costs $45 per ticket.

Patrons still can purchase either of the two flex mini plans that were made available on Aug. 16. There are two plans available – one plan allows a patron to purchase a ticket to the Miami game and two other home games of his or her choosing, while the other one allows a patron to purchase a ticket to the Virginia game and two other home games of his or her choosing. The cost is $189 per plan.

Patrons also can purchase season tickets, which offer fans the best pricing on a per-game basis and the most benefits, including discounts to the online store (shop.hokiesports.com), access to in-game video board messages, access to a personal season ticket service executive and more

Tech fans should note that there are a limited number of individual game tickets and flex mini plans available. These will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tickets can be purchased through one of three ways beginning Thursday morning – through hokietickets.com, by calling the Virginia Tech Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-VATECH4, or by visiting the Lane Stadium Ticket Office.
