GREENSBORO, N.C. - Voted on by 191 media members who were credentialed for last week's ACC Football Kickoff in Charlotte and announced today, Virginia Tech junior wide receiver Isaiah Ford has been selected to the 2016 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason Football team.
Ford, a Jacksonville, Florida native, has been racking up the preseason accolades this summer, as this is the fifth team he has been named to, which includes the preseason watch lists for the Biletnikoff and Maxwell Awards.
Last season, Ford was the ACC's top pass catcher and rewrote the Tech single-season records for a receiver. His 75 receptions, 1,164 yards and 11 touchdown catches set program marks while also leading the ACC in touchdowns, receiving yards and receiving yards per game (89.5).
He enters his junior season third on the school's all-time list in career receptions (131), 53 shy of the school record held by Jarrett Boykin (2008-11, 184), fifth in career touchdowns (17), five shy of the top mark held by Antonio Freeman (1991-94, 22), and seventh in career receiving yards (1,873), just over 1,000 yards of Boykin's mark of 2,884 yards.
