Hodges announces his return to Blacksburg
Tight end tweeted his decision last night

BLACKSBURG - Redshirt-sophomore tight end Bucky Hodges announced last night that he will be returning to Blacksburg for another season and not declare for the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft.

The Virginia Beach, Virginia, product tweeted "Staying another year in Blacksburg let's make history!!! #hokienation". The tweet can be seen at the bottom of this release.

During his second season with the Hokies, Hodges caught 40 passes for 530 yards and six touchdowns, while also adding a 16-yard rushing touchdown in the Independence Bowl. For his career, he has amassed 85 receptions, 1,056 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.

During his junior campaign, Hodges will certainly have his opportunities to climb up the all-time charts for both Tech, and especially in the ACC for tight ends. He's already third all-time in receiving touchdowns, and is 16 catches and 267 yards shy of entering the career top 10 in the league for those categories.

In his two seasons at Tech, Hodges has been named a Freshman All-America by the USA Today in 2014 and was also a third team All-ACC player by the sports writers. This season, he made the third team again and the coaches voted him a second team honoree. This past season, he was also one of eight semi-finalists for the John Mackey Award.
