CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The ACC Digital Network (@theACCDN) announced Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer as the winner of the 2015 Must See Moment of the Year.
After an amazing year and as he heads into his retirement, fans weighed in on social media over the past few weeks by sharing, liking and re-tweeting the video of Beamer being hoisted up by his team in celebration after the game-clinching interception over rival Virginia in his final regular season game. “It’s been a wonderful ride the past 29 years at Virginia Tech,” Beamer said. “My family has been truly blessed to spend all this time at a place we love so much. Thanks to all the fans who selected this celebration as the Must-See ACC Moment of the Year. You always savor a victory over your in-state rival, but that victory ride at Virginia was particularly special because of the young men who carried me off the field. My players are the people who I’ll miss the most. Go Hokies!”
