MOBILE, Ala. – Virginia Tech redshirt-senior Dadi Nicolas has accepted his invitation to participate in the 2016 Reese’s Senior Bowl as announced by the organization this afternoon.

Nicolas will become the 48th Hokie to play in the event and the first one since defensive back Rashad Carmichael participated in the 2011 game.

The Delray Beach, Florida, product started 11 games for Tech this season and played in all 12. He has registered 40 tackles (19 solo) with 5.5 going for a loss, including one sack. Nicolas adds five quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries to his totals.

Nicolas was a second team All-ACC selection last year after a phenomenal 2014 season – 72 total tackles, 18.5 for loss, 9 sacks, 35 quarterback hurries. His numbers dipped a bit this year due to several hand injuries.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. EST in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The game will be televised on the NFL Network.
