Season Tickets/Mini-Plans Sold Out, Minimal Number of Club Seats Available
Indoor, outdoor seating options still available, Furman tickets available

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced Monday that 2015 football season tickets have sold out.

Signs point to a sellout for the Ohio State game. Tech’s last sellout came last season when the Hokies played against Miami. The last time the athletics department sold all of its ticket inventory for an entire season was in 2012.

“We appreciate the continued support of Hokie Nation,” said Tech Director of Athletics, Whit Babcock. “Hokies everywhere are excited about the upcoming season and we’re eager to welcome them home to Lane Stadium. Coach Beamer and our student-athletes appreciate the energy that our fans bring to every game creating an atmosphere that truly provides Virginia Tech with one of the nation’s best homefield advantages.”

Tickets for the Furman game are now available exclusively to current season-ticket holders and Hokie Club members based on returned inventory from the opposing team allotment. Should any Furman tickets remain after this VIP presale, they will be available to the general public at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Furman tickets can be purchased online at HokieTickets.com, via phone at (540) 231-6731, toll-free at (800) 828-3244 or in person at the Ticket Office located in Lane Stadium during regular business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weekdays).

“The passion and loyalty of Virginia Tech fans is unsurpassed,” said Tech Executive Associate Athletics Director, Desiree Reed-Francois. “We look forward to bringing an enhanced game experience to all our fans at Lane Stadium this season. Patrons on every level will enjoy the benefits of our Twenty4You initiative which was the direct result of fan feedback. Opportunities still exist to ensure your seat to every game with one of our premium seating options.”

Purchasing a club seating package at Lane Stadium is the only remaining way to guarantee admission for the season opener on Sept. 7 and the rest of the Virginia Tech home schedule. Details on student season ticket sales will be made available later this week once they are finalized.

Available options include seats in the south end zone, as well as both the indoor and outdoor clubs on the west side. For complete details on all available club seating options in Lane Stadium, please visit: http://www.hokietickets.com/clubseats/.

Fans who don’t want to be left out can purchase club seats online at: http://vthoki.es/ClubTix, via phone or in person at the VT Athletics Ticket Office located in Lane Stadium.

Thanks to a recent $400,000 renovation, Lane Stadium’s climate-controlled indoor club offers an upscale opportunity to get in the game with the Hokies this football season. With access to private restrooms and elevator access and the chance to purchase parking (while available), the indoor club is a great way to enjoy the action.

Other amenities including chair-back seating, enhanced food and beverage options, upgraded WiFi connectivity, stat monitors, new HD televisions and more. Indoor club seat purchases can be applied to Hokie Club point priority rankings with up to 80 percent of the gift being tax deductible.

Frank Beamer is the winningest active FBS head coach with 273 career victories. Beamer has led the Hokies to 22 consecutive bowl berths, the longest active streak in the nation recognized by the NCAA. Over the past 12 seasons, he has guided Virginia Tech to an ACC-best 106 victories and four conference championships. Dating back to 1995, Virginia Tech owns a 105-23 (.820) record at Lane Stadium. In addition, Beamer has graduated 100 percent of his seniors dating back to 2012 and has seen a total of 93 student-athletes drafted by the NFL during his tenure.

In appreciation for his many years of service and extraordinary contributions to university life, the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors recently renamed Spring Road – the street that runs alongside the west stands and press box of Lane Stadium – Beamer Way. Recognizing contributions made both on and off the field by the head football coach and his wife, Cheryl, the official athletics department street address is now 25 Beamer Way in recognition of Frank Beamer’s jersey number when he played football for Tech from 1966-68.
