BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech athletics department announced Friday that it will start accepting season ticket renewal applications for the 2015 football season on Monday, March 2.
All 2014 season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to renew their tickets and be a part of a 2015 schedule that will be one of the best in school history. Tech opens with the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes coming to Lane Stadium on Labor Day, and the home schedule also includes four other games against teams that played in bowl games this past season (Duke, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and NC State).
A ticket catalog that includes ordering information will be dropped in the mail Monday and sent to all 2014 season ticket holders and donors. All 2014 season ticket holders and Hokie Club donors who have a registered email address with the ticket office and are wishing to renew or order online will receive an email Monday morning indicating how they can order online by simply clicking and going directly to their online ticket account.
Here are some points for Tech fans to consider as they begin the renewing process:
• The deadline to receive “Early Bird” perks (as listed in the catalog) is March 30 at 5 p.m.
• The deadline for 2014 season ticket holders to renew is April 6 at 5 p.m.
• If season tickets remain after the April 6 deadline, they will be made available to the general public on or near April 20.
• If you didn’t have tickets in 2014 and would like to receive 2015 ticket information, please visit vthoki.es/SeasonTix.
For the first time, the ticket office will assign a personal season ticket service executive to each customer. Service executives are available to answer any questions from account holders on Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
