Hosley picked for ESPN Sports Science segment

The Emmy Award-winning TV series, hosted by Brenkus, uncovers sports’ biggest myths and mysteries by using cutting-edge technology to measure momentum, friction and the laws of gravity. Brenkus, the Co-CEO, has helped build BASE Productions according to his vision of allowing audiences to experience and appreciate the science behind the most extreme events. Brenkus plays an integral part in the production of each BASE show, including his role as host of ESPN’s “Sport Science.”
The segment on Hosley will focus on his speed, reaction time and vision in reading a quarterback, all traits that helped him lead the nation in interceptions last season.
The Sports Science lab has brought in hundreds of athletes over the years, including NFL players Peyton Hillis, Vince Young and Adrian Peterson, competitive eater Joey Chestnut, softball star Jennie Finch and UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre. In addition, the lab had several players from the past NFL Draft in, including former Hokie quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
The segment will air sometime this fall during the season and will also be on the espn.com website.
