WHY HE CHOSE TECH: “It was just the overall environment. The coaches have been there for a long time, and Coach [Frank] Beamer has been with the school for about three decades. It’s an overall winning program. I know I can come in there and win and win bowl games and be successful. I’ll get a good degree, and if I can get a degree from Virginia Tech, I can go pretty much anywhere and get a job. I liked the players and the environment, and it was just like a second home.”
