Hokies set to compete at Princeton Invite
Tech competes at final meet before ACC Championships

PRINCETON, N. J. - The men’s and women’s cross country teams travel to Princeton University for the Princeton Invite on Saturday morning to compete in their final tune-up before the ACC Championships on Oct. 31. Both men’s and women’s teams are receiving votes in the latest USTFCCA Polls.

Last time out, Senior Paige Kvartunas posted her best-ever time in the women’s 5K and was the Hokies’ first finisher with a time of 17:09.92. Kvartunas finished in seventh place while senior teammate Sarah Rapp posted a 14th place finish with a time of personal best time of 17:19.64.

The men, who posted a fourth place finish overall, were paced by sophomore Stuart Robertson, whose personal-best time of 24:22.51 at the 8K distance made him the Hokies’ top finisher in 14th place. Just behind him was sophomore Neil Gourley, who finished in 19th place with a personal best of 24:31.34.

The women’s 6K open race kicks off the meet at 10:30 a.m. and concludes with the men’s 8K open race that finishes at 12:45 p.m.
