2017 All-ACC

2017: Finished his career as a four-time letterwinner in cross country … Came in 207th overall at the NCAA Championships (10K) with a time of 31:43.44 … Finished 44th at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet (10K) with a time of 30:29.6 … Claimed 12th at the ACC Championships to earn All-ACC honors in cross country for the first time … Ran the 8K course at the ACC meet in a time of 23:54.7 … Came in 42nd at the Adidas Pre-National Invitational (8K) with a time of 23:50.8 … Was 31st at the Louisville Sports Commission Classic (8K) with a time of 24:16.32.

2016: Took a redshirt year … Ran unattached at the VT Alumni Invite and came in sixth overall with a time of 24:58.60 … Ran unattached at the Hokie Invite (6K), finishing 14th overall with a time of 19:13.40.

2015: Finished 157th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 31:30.6 … Came in 63rd at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet with a time of 31:15.1 … Claimed 30th at the ACC Championships with a time of 24:33.8 … Was 35th at the NCAA Pre-National meet with a time of 23:47.9 … Finished 19th at the Princeton Inter-Regional Invitational with a time of 24:24.4 … Ran unattached at the VT Alumni Invite and came in 19th overall with a time of 25:11.18.

2014: Competed in five meets for the Hokies... Finished in 42nd place at the ACC Championships with a personal best 8k time of 24:28.2... Finished in 43rd at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a personal best 10k time of 31:14.5.

2013: Competed in four meets for the Hokies... Finished in fifth place at the Mountaineer Open... Placed sixth at the Hokie Open... Posted a top 15 finish at the VT Alumni Invitational.

High school: Claimed the 2013 Scottish National U18/U20 1,500 meter title… In 2012, won the 800 meters at the Celtic Games U16/U18 International meet… Set a PR of 1:52.77 in the 800 meters at the Scottish Schools Championships, while also finishing second in the 1,500 meters at the same meet… Set a PR of 3:50.40 in the 1,500 meters at the BMC Gold Standard Races.

Personal: Born on Feb. 7, 1995 to parents Ronnie and Wilma Gourley in Glasgow, Scotland... Has one brother, Rob... Also played rugby and soccer... Major is mechanical engineering.
