BLACKSBURG - Trailing 9-3 entering the eighth frame, the visiting Campbell Camels plated three runs in both the eighth and ninth to send the game into extra innings then scored five in the 10th to register a 14-9 victory over Virginia Tech in nonconference action at English Field Wednesday night.

After being held scoreless the past two games, the Hokies erased a 3-0 lead after the first inning to score nine unanswered runs as every player in the lineup had at least one hit led by Logan Bible's career-high three-hit night. Saige Jenco, Alex Perez, Sean Keselica, Brendon Hayden and Phil Sciretta all had two hits in the contest.

Bible's night included crossing the plate three times - the first in the third on a sac fly by Mark Zagunis, the second on a Jenco single that tied the game at 3-3 in the fourth and the third on a Perez RBI triple in the sixth that made it 6-3. He also knocked in three runs with RBI singles in the fourth, sixth and seventh - the final one giving the Hokies an 8-3 lead just before Jenco notched his second RBI of the night.

Campbell (28-14) had three players - Steven Leonard, Matt Nadolski and Elijah Trail - all with three RBIs, while John Reilly and Danny Pardo each scored three times.

Kit Scheetz registered a quality start for the Hokies, going six innings, allowing just the three first-inning runs and striking out three in a no-decision effort. The Camels' James Darcy won his first game of the year, while Tech's Aaron McGarity dropped his third.

Tech (18-22-1) now heads on the road for its next eight games starting with a trip to North Carolina for a three-game ACC series with the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill starting on Friday at 7 p.m.
