Career Highlights: In 2014 season, went 5-1 and became the first freshman (true or redshirt) at the school to lead the team in wins since 2003, when Ryan Kennedy went 6-2 ... In last 40 years, only Tech pitcher to start and win two games against North Carolina (April 17, 2015 and May 13, 2017) ... Among all-time Tech pitchers in the ACC, left Blacksburg second all-time in starts (38), third in innings pitched (251.2), fourth in wins (17) and fifth in strikeouts (181).

2016: Appeared in 24 games (second-most on the team) and made eight starts on the mound, posting three quality starts … Posted a team-best 3.86 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched (second), struck out 57 batters, walked 23 and posted a 4-3 record while combining on two shutouts – versus Marshall (Feb. 21) and against Florida State (March 19) … Picked up wins in relief appearances at USC Upstate (Feb. 18) and versus Radford (Feb. 28) and William & Mary (March 21) … Earned fourth win (third) in a start against North Carolina (May 13) … Tossed a season-high 7.2 innings in start at Miami (May 19) and struck out a career-high 10 batters … Threw at least 5.0 innings in last six starts … Tossed a season-high 3.1 innings in relief at USC Upstate and threw at least 1.0 innings in 11 appearances out of the pen … Inherited nine runners and three of them scored … Retired 6-of-15 first batters faced in relief outings … Struck out at least four strikeouts in five games … Struck out at least two batters 14 times ... Struck out at least five batters seven times, including a season-high eight in that Duke start … Led the team with 55 scoreless innings pitched, including 15.0 consecutive, also a team high … Threw a team-high 23 perfect frames and, at one point, retired a team-high 14 straight batters … Was second on the team in opponent's batting average at .245 ... Tied for the team-lead with seven double plays turned behind him, with four being GDPs ... At the end of the regular season, his innings pitched ranked tied for eighth in the ACC.

2015: Appeared in 11 games making nine starts (third most on the team) … Had a 5.22 ERA in a total of 50.0 innings, struck out 30 batters, walked 14, and posted a 3-4 record … In his nine starts, had a 4.34 ERA in 47.2 innings … Was second on the team with five quality starts … Struck out at least two batters nine times, including a season-high five against North Carolina in the regular season … Got the start on the mound in the ACC Tournament game against Tar Heels and went four innings and did not allow an earned run (3 unearned) … Pitched a total of 35 scoreless innings (fourth), including 9.1 consecutive … Also, threw 15 perfect frames and, at one point, retired 15 straight batters (second longest on the team) … Was second on the team with double plays turned behind him with seven, including four GDPs and one triple play.

2013: Redshirted the season.

High School: Earned a pair of varsity letters while playing for Coach Peter Schumacher at James River … In first varsity season, as a junior, compiled a 9-1 record with a 1.67 ERA and earned first team all-district, first team all-region and Richmond Times-Dispatch All-Metro as well as honorable mention AAA all-state … Entered 2012 as a preseason Louisville Slugger All-American honorable mention, but senior campaign was cut short by injury after a 2-0 start with a 0.00 ERA.
