2016-17: Redshirted … Missed the season while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered at the 2016 NCAA Championships … Went 17-2 wrestling unattached … Won his first 10 matches … Collected 13 bonus point victories … First seven wins earned bonus points … Went 2-2 at Junior World Team Trials … Won the 165-pound title at the Cleveland State Open after going 5-0 against the field … Took home the 165-pound title at the Franklin & Marshall Open … Beat Virginia’s MJ Roberson by tech fall, 17-1 at 4:20, and pinned NC State’s Daniel Bullard in :58 at the Appalachian Open.

2015-16: McFadden opened his freshman year with back-to-back victories over ranked opponents from Iowa State and Penn State ... downed Tyler McNutt from North Dakota State in a 12-2 major decision before moving to 4-0 in dual meet action with a victory in South Dakota over Luke Zilverberg... went 2-2 at the 2015 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational ... earned a 10-3 victory at George Mason versus Blake Ruolo ... went 3-1 at Virginia Duals ... went 1-4 against ACC competition ... picked up a major decision against Jordan Amine to help the Hokies defeat Michigan in the inagural National Duals Championship Series ... stormed thorugh the 165 pound competition at the ACC Championship to finish third, earning an automatic bid to Nationals ... finished 5-3 in Madison Square Garden, earning his first All-American honors with a 6th place finish at the NCAA Championship.

High School: McFadden was a New Jersey state champion in 2014 and 2015 at 145 pounds and took sixth as a sophomore (126 pounds) and second as a freshman (113 pounds). McFadden placed second at the 2014 Junior Nationals and enters his senior season with a career record of 118-8.
