Hokies wrap up day three of men's NCAAs
Tech concludes competition on Saturday

MINNEAPOLIS – Members of the Virginia Tech men’s swimming and diving team wrapped up the third day of competition on Friday at the 2018 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
Senior Thomas Shinholser was the top finisher for the Hokies on Friday, taking 24th overall in 3-meter diving with a score of 345.05. His teammate Ben Schiesl finished a couple spots behind in 26th, scoring 338.80.
Freshman Lane Stone was 26th in the 200 free with a time of 1:34.64.
In the prelims of the 100 breaststroke, junior Norbert Szabo shaved .88 off his NCAA qualifying time to finish 39th in 53.90.
The Hokies will be back in the pool for the final day beginning at 11 a.m. ET, competing in the prelims of the 100 free, 200 fly and platform diving as well as the 1650 free in the afternoon.
