Nazieblo Qualifies for FINA World Championships and World University Games

BLACKSBURG – After a strong performance at the Polish National Championships in May, rising senior Klaudia Nazieblo has qualified for the 2017 FINA World Championships and the World University Games.

The World Championships, where Nazieblo will compete in the 200 back and 200 fly, are underway from Budapest, Hungary and will conclude on July 30. The World University Games will see Nazieblo swim in the 50 back, 100 back, 200 back, 200 fly and 400 medley relay.

A native of Wroclaw, Poland, Nazieblo qualified for the two major international events after she took home four gold medals, one silver and one bronze.

Nazieblo enters her senior season as a 2016 All-American in the 200 fly with three honorable mention All-American honors, three ACC silver medals and three conference bronze medals. She currently holds school records in six different events.
