BLACKSBURG – CollegeSwimming.com has named H2Okie junior Klaudia Nazieblo its ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week after registering three NCAA B-cut times at the FGCU Swimming Classic last weekend.
The Wroclaw, Poland native took first in three events against top competition including Ohio State, LSU and Utah. She swam a 4:15.77 in the 400 IM, a 54.45 in the 100 fly and a 1:58.00 in the 200 fly. Nazieblo’s impressive time in the 400 IM is currently the fastest in the country this season.
Nazieblo and the H2Okies will kick off the 2016-17 home slate this Saturday at 11 a.m. against Penn State at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. Head coach Ned Skinner, his staff and the student-athletes will host a free swimming clinic after the meet.
