Four H20kies set to compete in 2016 U.S. Open Swimming Championships
The Tech quartet also swam at U.S. Olympic Trials

BLACKSBURG – Four student-athletes will represent the Virginia Tech swimming and diving program at this year’s U.S. Open Swimming Championships at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota from August 2-6.

Seniors Fiona Donnelly and Jessica Hespeler, junior Adriana Grabski and senior Robert Owen will be competing against top American and international competition in Minneapolis. The four H20kies recently competed at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials.

“"We are excited for the opportunities for our swimmers this week in Minnesota,” Tech swimming and diving head coach Ned Skinner said. “The U.S. Open will feature some of America's finest swimmers and will include many international swimmers. This meet will be fast and a real challenge for us and we are well prepared for the event. "
