Online version of May's Inside Hokie Sports now uploaded

BLACKSBURG – The fifth issue of the 2016-17 version of Inside Hokie Sports has been mailed, and Thursday, the staff launched the latest interactive online version that is free to all fans.

To access the new online version, please click here to get to Inside Hokie Sports’ new web page on hokiesports.com and then click where it says “Read Current Issue.” The new online format includes the implementation of video and photo galleries, and it allows readers to bookmark articles, start a slideshow, and share through one’s social media outlets, along with more.

Past issues can easily be accessed by clicking the links at the bottom of the newly designed web page, and comments can be emailed using the form in the bottom right-hand corner. Please feel free to reach out with comments about the magazine or ideas for content.

The fifth issue includes a recap of each position, as the football assistant coaches weigh in on their respective positions following the conclusion of the program’s spring practice. It also includes columns from Jimmy Robertson and Jon Laaser, academic spotlights on women’s tennis standout Sansitha Nandakumar and baseball player Rahiem Cooper. In addition, this issue includes a feature on Tech’s best softball player this past season – Aysha Richardson – along with a feature on Drew Piazza, a distance runner who has his sights set on winning a national championship. Finally, there is a feature on Jack Owens, a baseball player who transferred in from East Carolina and led the Hokies in hitting this past season.
