2014-15: Joined the team in January for dual competition… Finished the season ranked 16th in the region after tallying an 20-4 record in singles… Also went 11-6 in doubles… Had wins in matches against No. 12 Wake Forest and No. 55 Georgia Tech… Helped the Hokies to their highest final ranking in program history at 18th… Tallied points in Tech’s wins over No. 23 Notre Dame, No. 2 Duke, No. 37 NC State, No. 14 North Carolina and No. 32 Florida State.
Junior Tennis/High School: Reached a high ATP ranking of 1414 as of March 31, 2014... Ranked 145 nationally in Italy... Participated in the Como Challengeer as well as several ITF Futures events.
Personal: Born November 24, 1992 in Como, Italy... Son of Giorgio Tessaro and Ornella Balzaretti... Enrolled as a graduate student in the Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise program.
