Career Highlights: Finished Tech career second all-time in two categories – lowest career walks-per-nine innings (1.97) and career strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.30) … In 2013, his 1.88 walk-per-nine inning ratio (21 in 100.1 IP) was the 13th best ever at Tech in a single season … Among, those with at least 100 innings pitched, it was the fifth-best ratio and it was the best by a starting pitcher since 2001 (Ian Ostlund, 1.33) … Picked up a victory over No. 4 Florida State in a complete-game effort in a 3-2 Tech win (March 29) … Also, in a start in ACC Baseball Championship, held No. 7 Seminoles scoreless through eight frames before Hokies earned walk-off 3-2 win (May 23).

2012 (at Santa Fe College): Compiled an overall 10-4 mark for the Saints in 14 starts … Posted a 1.33 ERA in 95.0 innings with 70 strikeouts and one complete game … Was selected First Team FCSAA All-State, First Team All-Mid-Florida Conference and named Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year … Had 13 quality starts and struck out at least five batters in nine starts … Threw a complete game on April 6, a four-hit, one unearned run effort with a season-high nine strikeouts.
2011 (at Georgia Tech): Appeared in six games for the Yellow Jackets … Posted a 5.06 ERA in 5.1 innings with four strikeouts … Combined on a shutout versus St. John’s on Feb. 25 … Did not allow a run in first four games (four innings pitched).
High School: Earned varsity letters all four years while playing for Coach Tony Blackburn at C. Milton Wright … Was a two-year captain and helped the Mustangs to the 2010 state championship ... Following senior year, was named first team all-state, the Baltimore Sun Player of the Year, a first team All-American by Louisville Slugger and a USA Today Second Team All-American ... Threw a no-hitter in the state playoffs in 2010, and was one error away from a perfect game.
