Career Highlights: Became just the ninth Hokie true freshman to pick up a win in ACC play with victory at North Carolina (April 10, 2016) ... Joined Luke Scherzer (2 in relief), Mathew Price (2 in starts) and Justin Wright (2 in starts, 1 in relief) as multiple ACC winners as true freshman with his second ACC win against Pitt (April 15, 2016).
2017: Redshirted the season due to injury.
2016: Appeared in a team-high 22 games, all in relief … Had a 6.21 ERA in a total of 29.0 innings, struck out 23 batters, walked 11, and posted a 2-4 record, while combining on two shutouts – at The Citadel (Feb. 21) and versus ETSU (Feb. 23) … Earned wins out of the bullpen at North Carolina (April 10) and against Pitt (April 15) … Tossed a season-high 4.0 innings at Georgia Tech (March 19), while throwing at least 1.0 innings 16 times ... Inherited 18 runners and 10 of them scored … Retired 13-of-22 first batters faced … Struck out at least two batters six times, including a season-high four at Georgia Tech including striking out the side in the seventh for the first time in his career … Pitched a total of 16 scoreless innings, including 4.2 consecutive … Also, threw seven perfect frames and, at one point, retired nine straight batters … Had four double plays turned behind him, all GDPs.
