2013: Tied for the team lead in appearances with 30, all out of the pen, while finishing 11 of them, second on the team … Had a 7-1 record (second most wins on the team), combined on one shutout, earned three saves and posted a 4.16 ERA … Threw a total of 62.2 innings (fourth) and struck out 56 batters (second) … Opponents batted just .271 against him … Threw at least one inning in 26 outings, 18 games tossed at least 2.0 innings … Did not allow an earned run in 16 appearances … Struck out at least two 17 times, including two games with at least five … During the season, inherited 30 runners and allowed just nine to score … In the ACC, was tied for fifth in appearances.

2010: Appeared in 15 games, all in relief … Went 1-0, combined on a shutout and posted a 5.68 ERA … Threw 19 innings and struck out 21 batters … Threw at least one inning in all 15 outings and went at least two three times … Did not allow an earned run in six games and struck out at least two five times.
High School: Played his final year at Carlisle High School after transferring from Bassett High School, where he played three years … At Carlisle, went 9-2 with a 0.19 ERA and batted .578 for the Virginia Independent Conference regular season champs and state runners-up … Limited opposing hitters to an .088 batting average while striking out 162 batters and allowing 19 hits and 31 walks in 64.1 innings pitched … Added nine home runs, 15 doubles, five triples 41 RBIs and 36 runs scored at the plate … Was named the conference player of the year, the Timesland player of the year and the state co-player of the year … As a junior at Bassett, was named first-team all-conference and all-region after going 7-3 with a 1.24 ERA, 93 strikeouts and 34 walks in 59 innings pitched … Also batted .373 with four homers.
