Hokies set to host the 2014 Hokie Fall Invitational
Representatives from 11 East Coast schools will participate

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team will host the 2014 edition of the Hokie Fall Invitational this Friday, October 3th – Sunday, October 5th in Blacksburg. The invitational will include players from Marshall, Radford, Penn State, UMBC, Morehead State, George Washington, Liberty, Wofford, JMU, VCU, and the Hokies.

There will be nine Hokies participating in total across the five singles flights and three doubles flights. Kelly Williford and Elena Cerezo-Codina will represent Virginia Tech in Flight A for singles, while Sansitha Nandakumar will take the court in Flight B. Flight C will include Raluca Mita and Katherine Butler, Flight D will feature Mariana Silva and Laura Ramthun and finally, Frances Peyton and Sloan Barton will round out the Hokies’ singles lineup in Flight E.

Doubles play will include matches featuring Mita/Stoica and Butler/Williford in Flight A, Cerezo-Codina/Nandakumar in Flight B, as well as Barton/Silva and Peyton/Ramthun in Flight C.

Play will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and continue throughout the weekend at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center and its surrounding courts in Blacksburg.
