Women's Soccer involved with Cystic Fibrosis event
Hokies to walk to help raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Blacksburg, Va. – On Saturday, May 2, the Virginia Tech women’s soccer team will be participating in the Great Strides fundraising walk in Roanoke, Virginia. The walk begins at 10 a.m. on the campus of Hollins University.

Great Strides is the largest cystic fibrosis fundraising event and the women’s soccer team wants to help increase awareness about the disease, as well as raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations’ continuous dedication to finding a cure. The money donated is used by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for intensive research, along with new drugs and therapies, and promising advances have been made. This is a cause that hits home for women’s soccer team and they would truly appreciate support in the team’s effort to help find a cure.
