Ashley Meier wins ACC Must See Moment of the Year
Fans vote for deep goal against Clemson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Virginia Tech women’s soccer junior Ashley Meier wins the 2014 Must See ACC Moment of the year fan vote, as announced by the ACC Digital Network Tuesday.

Meier’s incredible goal off the crossbar from 25-yards out against Clemson in September impressed fans so much that she received over half of the overall votes. See the goal here.

“I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am and what an honor this is knowing the quality of all of the athletes in the ACC,” stated Meier after learning of the results of the fan vote. “I want to thank all the fans that took the time to vote! Thank you for this exceptional honor!”
