BLACKSBURG, Va. – With the NCAA women’s soccer selection show to be aired today, Monday, Nov. 5 beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Virginia Tech women’s soccer team is anxious to hear if they will receive its fifth-consecutive bid this season.
The Hokies are coming off a run all the way to the Sweet 16 last season, upsetting then-No. 9 West Virginia and then-No. 17 Texas A&M before falling to then-No. 8 Virginia in the third round.
Tech completed its regular season over a week ago, with a 3-0 shutout against then-No. 7 Wake Forest. With an unblemished non-conference slate and quality wins over then-No. 18 Maryland earlier this season and the Demon Deacons, the Hokies have a promising chance to receive an at-large berth to the tournament.
The selection show will be aired live on NCAA.com at 4:30 p.m. today.
