Colpitts, Reeves earn ACC All-Freshman team honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its women’s soccer All- Freshmen team on Tuesday afternoon, and Tech’s Dayle Colpitts and Jazmine Reeves were among the 13 conference newcomers honored. Wake Forest’s Katie Stengel was named the ACC Freshman of the Year.

Colpitts started all 19 games for the Hokies this season and wrapped up the regular season with a 10-8-1 record. The Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, native tallied 59 saves in her 1739 minutes in net this year, also shutting out four teams. Colpitts’ 10 wins puts her at seventh all-time on Tech’s career wins list, while her four shutouts ties her for seventh all-time.

Reeves started the final eight games of the season, but saw playing time in all 19 games. The Dover, Del., native tallied five scores and one assist, good for 11 points on the year. Three of her five goals game in the final two games of the season, and she earned the first multi-goal game of her career after scoring twice at Clemson.
