GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Virginia Tech women’s soccer team earned the eighth seed in this year’s Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament and will take on top-seeded North Carolina on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Noon. All four opening-round games will be played Wednesday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., the site of this year’s championships, with the winners of those games playing Friday, Nov. 5 and the championship game taking place Sunday.
North Carolina locked up the regular season conference championship with a 2-0 win over Wake Forest on Sunday, while the Hokies combined a big, 4-0, defeat of NC State and a Miami loss at Maryland to earn the eight-spot.
Tech has faced the Tar Heels once before in the ACC Tournament, as the two teams met in the 2008 tournament championship game. The Heels beat the Hokies 3-0 in that match.
Below is the full tournament schedule. All games will be played at WakeMed Park.
