Tech holds a 5-0 record in the Moss Arts Center, a beautiful fixture on campus where the Hokies have fused the ancient art of wrestling with the modern feel of the building. Last season, Tech downed the University of Northern Iowa and then-15th ranked UNC to open ACC competition in the venue.
The Hokies will open the season at home on Saturday, November 5th, with a doubleheader in Cassell Coliseum, taking on Edinboro and VMI beginning at 1 p.m. Tech returns six All-Americans, including five from last year’s starting lineup, two defending ACC champions and seven grapplers that qualified for the NCAA Championships last year to this year’s starting lineup. Last year’s squad finished a program-best fourth place at Nationals, wrapping up an undefeated ACC dual season and a big victory over Michigan in the inaugural National Duals Championship Series.
