BLACKSBURG - The ancient art of wrestling will meet the modern art world several times in the next two weeks as the Virginia Tech wrestling program will play host to three home wrestling matches at the new Moss Arts Center on campus.
The ninth-ranked Hokies (9-2), will play host to in-state rival and 12th-ranked Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 (2 p.m.), as well as No. 13 Pitt on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 (7 p.m.) and NC State on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015 (2 p.m.).
This Virginia match is presented by Virginia529, the official college savings plan of Virginia Tech Athletics. It is also a potential point in the Virginia529 Commonwealth Clash, the new point rivalry series between University of Virginia and Virginia Tech. All three matches will take place inside the 1,100-seat Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre, located within the Moss Arts Center’s Street and Davis Performance Hall, at the corner of North Main Street and Alumni Mall. Unlike matches at Cassell Coliseum, spectators will be required to purchase tickets for the events.
Here’s what you need to know about the three events:
BROADCAST:
All three matches will be streamed online live via Flowrestling with Christian Pyles on the call. A subscription is required to view the broadcasts. Live stats will be available for free via TrackWrestling.
CONCESSIONS:
Concessions will be available in the grand lobby and on all levels of the Street and Davis Performance Hall. Patrons will be able to purchase food and drinks. Under no circumstance will any food or drinks be allowed into the theatre. All purchased items must be consumed prior to entering the theatre.
For the Pitt and NC State matches only, patrons who purchase tickets will be able to redeem their ticket for one free drink per non-punched, non-stubbed ticket. Patrons on pass lists who receive complimentary tickets will not be eligible for this promotion.
DIRECTIONS:

From I-81 (northbound and southbound):
Take exit 118B onto 460 West towards Virginia Tech. Continue for 8.5 miles to the Prices Fork Road exit for “Downtown.” The exit ramp will veer right. Continue on Prices Fork Road for 1.2 miles and take a right onto Turner Street. This street leads you to the parking deck and the center. Parking will be on your left at North End Parking Garage. The Moss Arts Center will be ahead on the right.
From I-77 (northbound):
Take exit 32 onto I-81 North. Continue for about 29 miles, then follow the directions above for I-81 northbound.
From Interstate 77/West Virginia Turnpike (southbound)/460 West (eastbound):
In West Virginia, take Exit 9, “U.S. 460-Princeton/Pearisburg, VA.” Turn left at the stoplight at the end of the ramp onto U.S. 460 East. Continue on U.S. 460 East for about 44.9 miles (11.6 in W.Va., 33.3 in Virginia). Travel east for approximately 47 miles, then take the Prices Fork Road exit. At the top of the exit ramp, take a left. Continue on Prices Fork Road for 1.2 miles and take a right onto Turner Street. This street leads you to the parking deck and the center. Parking will be on your left at North End Parking Garage. The Moss Arts Center will be ahead on the right.
DOORS OPEN:
Doors will open to the theatre one hour before match time.
INTERMISSION:
There will be a 20-minute intermission after the fifth match of the dual meet.
PARKING:
Parking ($5 CASH) is available in the North End Parking Garage on Turner Street during events. Virginia Tech faculty and staff possessing a valid Virginia Tech parking permit can enter and exit the garage free of charge. Limited street parking is also available. Street parking is free on nights and weekends. Patrons may also park for free in the Squires Lot in valid parking spots, located on Otey Street across from the Squires Student Center, or the public lot off of Progress Street. Parking on the Drillfield is available without a Tech parking permit for both Sunday matches, but parking is not allowed until after 8 p.m. on weeknights (Friday match vs. Pitt). Please observe all parking signs posted around campus.
There is limited handicap accessible parking located just outside the building on both Turner Street and Alumni Mall.
Patrons are always welcome to drop-off and pick-up guests directly at the front doors of the Moss Arts Center at 190 Alumni Mall.
PLAYER GUEST/RECRUIT TICKETS:
Each team participating will have a player guest list available for signups. Those on the list for tickets will enter the Moss Arts Center and pick up their ticket in the grand lobby. A valid ID will be necessary for pickup and each person will be given a wristband and have their ticket stubbed for NCAA compliance. The same procedure follows for recruits. Any person on the player guest or recruit list is not eligible for the free drink promotion mentioned above.
STUDENT TICKETS:
A limited number of complimentary tickets for current Virginia Tech students were made available. Those who signed up and were notified that they were to receive tickets can pick up their ticket(s) at the will call on match day, which is located in the grand lobby. A valid ID will be needed to pick these up. The will call window will open 90 minutes before each match and will remain open an hour after the match for those who wish to purchase tickets for future matches or Moss Arts Center matches.
TICKETS:
Tickets for the Virginia match are sold out, but are still available for the other two matches. Fans may purchase tickets online at vthoki.es/moss and tickets are $15 and $20 depending on the location of the seat. All seats are reserved. The Moss Arts Center Box Office will be open before, during and after each match for fans who would like to purchase tickets. Private boxes, which include four seats, are available to purchase for $180 per match (Virginia sold out). The boxes must be reserved by calling the Moss Arts Center box office at 540-231-5300. Attendants are available to take orders from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. A seating chart can be viewed here.
