INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA released Wednesday night the 10 brackets and pairings for the upcoming NCAA Wrestling Championships, to be held March 17-19 at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Arena. In announcing the matchups, the at-large selections were also revealed to make known the 330 competitors (33 in each weight class) bidding for national titles in their respective weight class.

Seven Hokies will be making the trip north as Chris Diaz (141), Brian Stephens (149) and David Marone (285) all received at-large bids to go along with automatic qualifiers Jarrod Garnett (125), Devin Carter (133), Jesse Dong (157) and Pete Yates (165). In all, the ACC received six at-large bids to give the conference 26 overall bids.

Three received national seeds: Dong the No. 5 seed at 157 pounds, Carter the No. 9 seed ay 133 pounds and Garnett, the No. 12 seed at 125 pounds.

Below are the first round, and potential second-round matchups, for all seven Virginia Tech wrestlers. The full brackets are linked to the right.
