RALEIGH, N.C. - Five Virginia Tech wrestlers took part in the annual NC State Wolfpack Open, held Sunday inside Reynolds Coliseum. Taylor Knapp, wrestling unattached, took the title at 157 pounds to highlight the day.
On Saturday, three Hokies took part in the Michigan State Open in East Lansing. Jesse Dong won the 157-pound class while Erik Spjut took third at 133 pounds and freshman Ty Mitch placed fourth at 125 pounds. All three were wrestling unattached, so their results do not count toward their records.
Below are the results from the NC State Open for both the attached and unattached wrestlers who competed.
