SALEM, Va. - Five Virginia Tech wrestlers won titles at their respective weight classes Sunday at the first Hokie Open, held at the Salem Civic Center. Will Livingston (133 pounds), Chris Diaz (141 pounds), Pete Yates (149 pounds), Jesse Dong (157 pounds) and Anthony Trongone (174 pounds) all won titles while wrestling unattached.

Also placing while wrestling unattached were: Jarrod Garnett (second at 125 pounds), Brock LiVorio (third at 125 pounds), Andre Johnson (fourth at 157 pounds), Matt Epperly (third at 165 pounds), D.J. Bruce (second at 197 pounds) and David Marone (second at heavyweight).

Six wrestlers competed representing Tech with Tim Miller taking fourth place at 197 pounds.

The team will compete this weekend at the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md.
