Hokies march into Tournament play Thursday
Tech matches up with Syracuse in Second Round of ACC Tournament in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team will tip off its postseason Thursday afternoon when they take on the Syracuse Orange in the Second Round of the ACC Tournament. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. from the Greensboro Coliseum.
Tech heads into the Tournament after Monday’s All-ACC announcement that junior guard Taylor Emery was named to the conference’s Second Team.

THE SERIES: Syracuse leads the all-time series which dates back to 1988, 6-5. Tech knocked off the Orange in this season’s meeting 73-64 from the Carrier Dome, the first time a Virginia Tech basketball program had won inside that building.
Regan Magarity recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Taylor emery poured in 20 points to lead the Hokies to the victory.
UP NEXT: The winner will advance to Friday’s Quarterfinals game against the 1 seed Louisville. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
