BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech sophomore Samantha Hill has been selected to compete for Canada’s Senior B Women’s Basketball National Team as it gets ready to compete in the 36th Annual William Jones Cup beginning Aug. 20 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Joining Canada in Taiwan are teams from Korea, United States, Japan and China. Hill and the Canadian team will open the Jones Cup on August 20 at 4 a.m. EST against China B team.
Hill is no stranger to the international stage, most recently she was a member of the Canadian Junior Women’s National Team where she competed at the FIBA U19 World Championships in Lithuania where the team finished seventh in 2013. In addition, Hill competed with the U18 team at the 2012 U18 FIBA Americas Championships.
