GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia Tech will face Clemson on Wednesday, March 5 at 1 p.m. in the opening round of the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament. The event is being held at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.

Tech (14-15, 4-12 ACC) enters as the 12th seed and will face 13th-seeded Clemson (12-18, 4-12 ACC) in the first round on Wednesday afternoon. Virginia Tech and Clemson played each other on Thursday in the regular season finale for the Tigers. The Hokies claimed the 74-48 win in Blacksburg, Va.

The winner of the game will advance to face No. 5 seed Syracuse on Thursday, March 6 at 11 a.m.
