

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team and head coach Dennis Wolff announce that seniors Nia Evans and Uju Ugoka will serve as team co-captains for the remainder of the 2013-14 season.
Evans is a four-year letterwinner for the Hokies, appearing in 92 games during her career and has been a vocal leader both on and off the court. Ugoka has been a strong presence on the court for the Hokies in her two years with the program. This season she leads the team and is one of three players in the ACC averaging a double-double, tallying 20.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
Virginia Tech will be back on the court on Thursday, Jan. 30 when they face No. 2/2 Notre Dame. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. at Purcell Pavilion in Notre Dame, Ind. and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
