BLACKSBURG, Va – Virginia Tech head coach Dennis Wolff announced the addition of center Tara Nahodil for the 2013-14 academic year. She joins four players that previously committed.
“We are thrilled to have Tara join our team,” Wolff said. “Tara is a talented, competitive player who had a very successful high school career and will compete for minutes next year in our front court.”
Nahodil, a 6-4 center from Pine Grove, Pa., is ranked the No. 20 post player in the country by ESPN HoopGurlz. She earned All-State honors three years and was an All-Area honoree all four years. During her senior campaign at Tri-Valley High School, Nahodil helped the team to the Pennsylvania state title. Nahodil finished her career with over 1,700 points and 1,000 rebounds.
In addition to basketball, Nahodil was an All-State volleyball player, a four-year honor roll student and served two years as Student Council President.
Nahodil joins Vanessa Panousis, Serafina Maulupe, Samantha Hill and Breanna Brown, who all previously committed.
