BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team will make the cross-state trip to play Richmond on Wednesday, Dec. 5 in a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Robins Center.

The Series
- The Hokies lead the all-time series 5-4. The two teams last met on Dec. 4, 2005 in Richmond.
- Virginia Tech has won the past four meetings between the two teams in the series that dates back to the 1987-88 season.
- Richmond is a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Hokies are 101-64 all time against teams from the A-10 after being a member of the conference from 1995 until 2000. The Spiders joined the league in 2001.

The Hokies
- Virginia Tech defeated Longwood, 73-58 the last time out.
- The Hokies were led by Alyssa Fenyn with 17 points and seven assists. Monet Tellier added 13 points, eight assists and seven boards. Freshman Lauren Evans recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.
- Tellier leads the Hokies on the season, averaging 10.8 points and 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Fenyn is adding 8.8 ppg and handing out 4.5 apg. Fenyn is second in the league and 52nd in the NCAA in A/TO ratio at 2.08. Taijah Campbell is adding 6.4 ppg while recording a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game to rank 14th in the ACC.

The Spiders
- Richmond defeated JMU, 70-66, in the team’s last game.
- Kristina King had 29 points to lead the Spiders. Becca Wann came off the bench to add 21 points and 15 rebounds.
- King leads the Spiders on the season with 13.3 points per game while Rachael Bilney is adding 12.0 ppg. Becca Wann is grabbing a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game and handing out 2.4 apg. Liz Brown is grabbing 5.1 boards per game and has recorded 16 blocks this season.
