BLACKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team will host Longwood on Saturday, Dec. 1 in a 4:30 p.m. game at Cassell Coliseum. The women's game follows the men's 2 p.m. game against Oklahoma State.

The Series
- The Hokies lead the all-time series 7-1. The two teams last met on Feb. 10, 2011 in Blacksburg.
- Alyssa Fenyn and Nia Evans dropped in double-digit points for the Hokies with Fenyn posting 11 and Evans adding 10. Fenyn also grabbed eight rebounds and Evans had three blocks.
- Virginia Tech has won the past six meetings between the two teams in the series that dates back to Tech’s inaugural 1976-77 season.
- Longwood recently joined the Big South Conference. Virginia Tech is 54-11 all-time against teams from the Big South.
The Hokies
- Virginia Tech defeated Wisconsin, 47-38 the last time out as part of the ACC/BigTen Challenge.
- The Hokies were led by Monet Tellier with 17 points while Alex Kiss-Rusk added eight. Tellier also grabbed six rebounds, handed out nine assists and picked up three steals.
- Tellier leads the Hokies on the season, averaging 10.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Fenyn is adding 7.2 ppg and handing out a team-best 4.0 assists per game to rank eight in the ACC. Fenyn is third in the league and ninth in the NCAA in A/TO ratio at 2.2. Campbell is adding 6.4 ppg while recording a team-best 7.4 rebounds per game to rank 15th in the ACC.
The Lancers
- Longwood fell to Pittsburgh, 86-60, in the team’s last game.
- Chelsea Coward had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lancers. Khalilah Ali added 11 points and 12 rebounds. Crystal Smith handed out six assists.
- Coward leads the Lancers with 17.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. Smith is averaging 11.7 ppg and dishing out 4.2 assists per game. Daeisha Brown tallying 9.8 ppg.
