Military Appreciation Day and other special Promotions set for February 3rd vs. Clemson

BLACKSBURG – Several special promotions surround the Virginia Tech women’s basketball game against Clemson on Friday, Feb. 3 at 6:30pm presented by SunTrust.

In honor of Military Appreciation/Community Heroes Day, Virginia Tech Athletics is offering free admission to all military, veterans, police, fire and EMT personnel. Those wishing to take advantage of the offer must present a valid service ID and enter through the Promotions Entrance (Gate 8) in the main lobby of Cassell Coliseum located off of Washington Street. In honor of this special day, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets will be in attendance and Military Appreciation t-shirts will be distributed for free while supplies last.

The Feb. 3 contest also marks the annual ACC Day. In celebration, all Hokie Kids Club members and their families are invited to attend the game for free and have the opportunity win prizes throughout the night courtesy of the ACC.

The women’s basketball program will also be showing their support for ‘To Write Love on Her Arms’ (TWLOHA). TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team stands behind the organization and aim to make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling with these issues.

Family Four Packs are also on sale for the game vs. Clemson. Four Packs include Four (4) tickets to the game, (4) promotional items and (4) concession items all for just $28. Family Four Packs must be purchased in advance by calling the ticket office at (540) 231-6731.
