Virginia returns home after a month-long road trip, serving as host to Pitt Friday and Tech Saturday. The Cavaliers split ACC play’ opening weekend with a 3-1 win over Duke on Friday but fell short in five sets to Wake Forest to close out the weekend. Kayla Sears and Natalie Bausback lead Virginia with Sears’ 152 kills and Bausback’s 148 kills and 217 digs. With 124 kills and 40 blocks, Anna Walsh was named ACC Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

The teams have faced each other 64 times over the last 36 years, beginning with a 3-0 Tech win in 1979.
The match is presented by Virginia529, the official college savings plan of Virginia Tech Athletics. It is also a potential half point in the Virginia529 Commonwealth Clash, the new point rivalry series between University of Virginia and Virginia Tech.
