Volleyball signs Tolbert for 2015
The Hokies add Minnesota standout for next season

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Tech head volleyball coach Chris Riley has announced the signing of Jaila Tolbert to a national letter of intent for the 2015-16 academic year.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jaila and her family into our Virginia Tech family,” said Riley. “Jaila is a wonderful young lady who will be a terrific addition to our program. She is a great athlete and will help us immediately, but she is an even better person and we are excited to add her to our group.”

Prior to Virginia Tech: Ms. Baden Volleyball finalist during senior campaign… Four year letterwinner withBreck school… Named All-State First Team during senior year… Tabbed MVP sophomore, junior and senior seasons… Earned All-Conference all three seasons… Named to the Wisconsin Dells All-Tournament team u17 while competing with Minnesota Select club… Also ran track at Breck, earning All-State honors… Member of the Honors List, Headmaster’s List, earning National Merit/Achievement recognition.

Personal: Jaila Amani Tolbert… Born February 2, 1997… Daughter of Chanda Tolbert and Mark Tolbert… Has two siblings, Aliesha Newell and Alivia Tolbert.
