Day Two: Eat, Sleep, Volleyball!
Preseason Camp 2012 Blog

We started the morning with some weight lifting at 6:45 a.m. We’ve been working all summer with a four day-a-week lift packet, but this is our final week of that phase. After lifting we went straight into practice, warming up our shoulders with Freddy as usual. Our morning practice consisted of serve receive, defense, and individual position work. The first session of the day is usually focused on technique rather than team play.

During our break, we enjoyed a delicious lunch from Panera. While others were in class, we made use of our time by taking a much-needed nap. The time passed quickly and before we knew it we were back out on the court for our last session of the day.

Once again, we began with shoulder rehab and continued into individual work. We covered all aspects of our game during this session and were able to pull it all together during the last hour of game play. This hour of playing always goes by the quickest because everyone is constantly moving and it gets very competitive.

We ended our session 15 minutes early so that we could all go cold tub as a team before heading over to dinner. As you can already tell, not much is on our agenda besides eating, sleeping, and volleyball. Gotta love it!

Goodnight everyone!!
